How does the app blocking work during prayer?

Quran Mode uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks). You choose which apps to block, and the system blocks them during your selected prayer windows. All processing happens on-device — no information about your apps is sent to our servers.

Does Quran Mode collect personal data?

No. Quran Mode does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, or phone number, does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA), does not track you across other apps, and shows no third-party ads. Prayer history and preferences are stored locally on your device.

Is Quran Mode available on Android?

No. Quran Mode is currently available exclusively for iOS (iPhone and iPad) on the Apple App Store.

Does Quran Mode work offline?

Most features — Quran reader, dhikr counter, prayer tracker, and Qibla compass — work offline. Prayer time calculations may require an initial location fetch.

How do I cancel my Quran Mode Premium subscription?

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Quran Mode iOS application ("the App") developed and operated by Quran Mode ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Quran Mode, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent. Your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and any future updates.

2. License & Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This license does not allow you to:

Distribute or make the App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time
Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the App
Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices within the App
Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

3. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

3.1 Quran Mode Premium

The App offers an optional premium subscription ("Quran Mode Premium") that unlocks additional features. Subscription details, including pricing and billing period, are displayed within the App and on the App Store product page before purchase.

3.2 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for Quran Mode Premium. If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, you will be automatically charged the subscription price. You can cancel at any time during the trial through your Apple ID subscription settings.

3.3 Billing & Renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.

3.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple through their standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or infrastructure
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity

5. App Blocking Feature

Quran Mode includes a voluntary app blocking feature that uses Apple's Screen Time API. By enabling this feature, you acknowledge that:

App blocking is entirely voluntary and initiated by you
You can disable blocking at any time through the App
We are not responsible for any inconvenience caused by blocked apps during prayer times
The blocking feature depends on Apple's Screen Time frameworks and may be subject to iOS limitations

6. Religious Content

The App includes Quranic text, prayer times, Qibla direction, and other Islamic content. While we strive for accuracy, this content is provided for informational and devotional purposes only. We recommend consulting qualified scholars for religious rulings and interpretations. Prayer times are calculated using established astronomical methods but may vary based on your location, calculation method, and local conventions.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, icons, and branding, is the intellectual property of Quran Mode and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Quranic text is the word of Allah and is not subject to copyright claims by us. All other content, trademarks, and trade dress are owned by us or our licensors.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
Prayer times will be perfectly accurate for all locations
The Qibla direction will be precise in all conditions (compass accuracy depends on device hardware and magnetic interference)
The App will be compatible with all iOS devices or future iOS versions

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quran Mode and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your use or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Quran Mode, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked. You may terminate your use by uninstalling the App at any time.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted within the App or on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation and, if necessary, binding arbitration.

14. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and Quran Mode, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
